Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Marrakech to Dades Valley
Depart Marrakech in the morning, crossing the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n'Tichka Pass. Enjoy scenic photo stops and visit an argan oil cooperative. Continue to Aït Ben Haddou for a guided tour of this UNESCO World Heritage Site, famous for its role in films like Gladiator and Game of Thrones. After lunch, pass through Ouarzazate and Rose Valley, reaching Dades Valley or Tinghir in the evening. Dinner and overnight in a local hotel.
Day 2: Dades Valley to Merzouga Desert
After breakfast, explore the Dades Valley, including the famous “Monkey Fingers” rock formations. Head to *Tinghir and walk through the majestic Todra Gorges. Continue across desert landscapes and Berber villages to Merzouga. In the late afternoon, ride camels into the Erg Chebbi dunes, enjoy a sunset, then arrive at your desert camp. Enjoy a traditional dinner, Berber music, and stargazing. Overnight in camp.
Day 3: Merzouga to Fes
Wake early for sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast, return to Merzouga village by camel or 4x4. Depart for Fes, passing through Erfoud, Ziz Valley, Midelt, and the Cedar Forests near Azrou, where you might spot wild monkeys. Arrive in Fes in the evening.
